We're on our way
An expert plumber will arrive at the time you booked. They’ll give you a call when they’re on their way.
We’ll assess the problem
Your plumber will ask you about the problem and inspect the toilet, the cistern, the toilet supply pipe and check for any signs of a leak. They’ll also inspect the flush mechanism for wear and tear.
We'll get you up and running again
Depending on the issue, we’ll get to the bottom of it. Whether that means fixing leaking pipes, replacing the flushing mechanism or other toilet parts, we’ll make sure it’s up and running. If specialist parts are needed, we may need a second visit.
What to do if you have a leaking toilet
If your toilet is leaking or you’re having any running water problems, here’s a top tip to stop the waterworks until one of our plumbers arrive:
Find the isolation valve
Most toilets have a small valve on the water pipe that leads into your cistern. If the toilet doesn't stop running or there’s a leak in the pipe on the toilet side of this valve, you can use this to stop the water supply to the toilet.
Close the valve
Some isolation valves can be closed by hand by turning the handle clockwise. If you don’t have this type of valve, you’ll need a flat head screwdriver to turn the valve clockwise until the notch for the screwdriver is at a right angle to the pipe.
Check the toilet
If your toilet now stops leaking or running water into the bowl, then that’s one less thing to worry about. You can now wait for your plumber to arrive. Just be sure to let them know you’ve closed the isolation valve when they arrive.
